Get Ready For Your Carpet Cleaning Visit

Carpet Marshal has been cleaning carpets in the Boise, Idaho area for over 13 years. During this time we have learned a lot about what makes a great carpet cleaning experience for our customers. We have found that it really important for us to work together with the home owner. Taking a few simple steps will make a big difference in the outcome of your carpet cleaning job. Carpet Marshal is dedicated to making our experience the most positive and satisfying of any Boise carpet cleaner.

No matter what carpet cleaning company you choose, or if you live outside the Boise, Idaho area, follow these simple steps prior to your carpet cleaning appointment:

·         Please bring to your technician’s attention any spot or stains that may require special attention.

·         Please vacuum your carpet the day of the appointment.

·         Any small pieces, such as dining room chairs, magazine racks, floor plants, etc. which you can remove from the carpet to be cleaned will shorten processing time and return the carpet to normal use sooner.

·         For your pet’s peace of mind (and our’s) please put them in a safe, quiet, place where the cleaning won’t disturb them.

·         China cabinets, sectional sofas, entertainment centers, antiques, large TV’s, electronic equipment, computers, pianos and fragile furniture cannot be moved. Most companies will move any coffee tables, chairs, couches and smaller items that you would like. Beds, dressers, desks and other such heavier items may be moved upon request, usually for an additional charge. It is best to inform the company before the appointment if large items will need to be moved.

·         PLEASE DO NOT MOVE YOUR FURNITURE PRIOR TO CLEANING AS WE NEED TO PRESPRAY THE WALKWAYS. IF YOU DO MOVE FURNITURE, PLEASE MOVE IT OFF CARPETED AREAS.

·         Remove all breakable items from the furniture which will have to be moved temporarily.

·         You should always try to avoid walking on carpets that are not dry. Walk on carpet at your own risk until completely dry. Floors may be slippery when wet, especially walking from tile to carpet. Please advise all occupants of this hazard.

·         Infants that are crawling must remain off the carpet for 24 hours.

·         Keep children and pets away from hoses, equipment, cleaning products and work area.

·         Please pin up any full length draperies so that they will be at least 6 inches off the carpet.

·         Also, please pin up any skirts on upholstered furniture which may be touching the carpet.

·         MOST IMPORTANTLY, IF THERE IS ANYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE TO MAKE YOUR EXPERIENCE A BETTER ONE, LET THE COMPANY KNOW YOUR REQUEST. Good carpet cleaning companies will go out of their way to make sure you are completely satisfied. You should always choose a company that guarantees their work 100%.

How often should you clean your carpet?

I am often asked how often we recommend a person have their carpets cleaned. Now I would like to send my trained technicians to your home or business every week so I could retire sooner, but I know that is not reasonable or affordable! So we put together a little information so you can make the best decision based on your specific situation. Because the real answer to that question is that it depends. It depends on how many people you have in your home or if you own pets. For commercial customers it may depend on the type of business you operate. This is a good general guideline for Boise Idaho carpet cleaning, but results may differ slightly based on other factors such as climate or seasons.

For most homes the easiest recommendation is four times per year, or once a quarter. This is my suggested schedule that may help you remember when it is time to call a professional carpet cleaner:

-          Quarter 1: Get the carpets cleaned as part of your Spring Cleaning punch list. Time to get all those winter germs out and freshen up the house for the new season! Schedule in March

-          Quarter 2: School is out and summer is here! Time to clean the carpets so the kids have a clean place for all those summertime sleep-overs. Schedule in June.

-          Quarter 3: Halleluiah, the kids are going back to school and the house is yours again! Those carpets deserve a good cleaning and you deserve a clean house. Schedule in September.

-          Quarter 4: Clean those carpets in preparation for the holiday season. There is nothing like fresh clean carpets to impress that mother-in-law! Schedule in late November or December.
